A New Years Gift |
|
Keep your eyes out for your mail this week. As a New Years Gift, the Chairman is sending a voucher entitling two guests to free course and Members' Stand entry to any racemeeting in the lead up to Autumn Carnival. So take advantage of this and enjoy a day out with friends.
A reminder too that the Members Quarterly Information Meeting will be held on Saturday 13 March 2010, in the Derby Bar, Royal Randwick, at 10.30 am (prior to the races). These meetings provide the opportunity for you to put your views to the Board and to hear what is happening with your Club.
A complimentary morning tea will be served from 10.30am
Gates to the racecourse will be open for Members wishing to attend this meeting from 10.00am. The courtesy Buggy will be operating from this time.
We also invite you to use the new Members' entrance located at the new Busway entrance on Alison Rd. This entrance brings you straight into the Members' area, so if you are travelling to the course by bus you just hop off and there you are. It is also convenient for those who park close to Alison Rd.

The Tuckometer Report
Horses to follow:-
COURT is trained at Warwick Farm by Clarry Connors and she eventually found herself in a race where she didn’t face disadvantages in transit when she took on Listed company here at Headquarters on New Years Day and the real Court stood up. A repeat is possible next time out.
SUPER CHOICE He was having his second run since a spell when he raced a shade too keenly in transit here at Randwick on New Years Day but he stuck to his task in the straight and a win in similar class over a similar journey isn’t far away now for this Guy Walter trained horse from Warwick Farm.
PRINCE OF CAPERS is yet another horse trained at Warwick Farm and he is a member of the Bill Prain stable. His staunchest supporters would have to agree that he was afforded every possibly chance in transit here at Randwick on New Years Day but the talented four year old shouldn’t be judged harshly. He is very near a win now.

Vale Michael Delaney

It is with the greatest of sadness that we advise the passing of Michael Delaney. Michael was a dedicated member who embraced all that racing had to offer, and he gave back to the Club in many ways. Michael was 31 and joined the Club on the day he turned 18 (he had been waiting to do so for years). He will be sadly missed by all who knew him at the races, staff and Members alike, particularly his friends in the Derby Bar. Our sympathies to his family. Vale Michael, we will miss you.
