SSHED scores 9/10 - July 2011

In its latest customer survey, the SSHED has scored an impressive 9 out of 10 for overall satisfaction. Even more rewarding was that 100% of the businesses surveyed said that the SSHED represented good value for money. Read more

SSHED hits 94

The SSHED has now worked with 94 businesses and 460 jobs have been created.

"From the broom up"

Jason Sultana and his specialist recruitment business, Just Automotive Recruitment  are now located at the SSHED.  Jason has worked for many years in the automotive industry and knows it "from the broom up".  This insight helps him find ideal candidates in operations, repairs, sales, spare parts, dealer staff and more. 

Since moving into the SSHED Jason has already grown his team of consultants.

SSHED businesses making news!

Water mission to India. BioGill has been invited to join the Australian Trade Commission's water mission to India this month. While India has 16% of the world's population it has only 4% of its water resources. Read more.

The Shire Group Training hits 200! This month, The Shire Group Training celebrates its 200th apprentice/trainee placement. The  placement is a Business Services Certificate III traineeship with host employer ANSTO. Read More.

Online headset store launches

The latest business to move into the SSHED is Telephone Headset Supplies, headed up by General Manager, Darren Harrower. The business offers a huge range of headsets - wireless, bluetooth, iPhone accessories, computer headsets and more. Clients include Optus, NSW Police Force and Commonwealth Bank to name just a few.  

An online headset store also launched this month.

Helping regional businesses in NSW

Five businesses from the NSW north coast and 8 businesses from the Blue Mountains are now part of the SSHED business acceleration program. This program is being funded by NSW Department of Trade and Investment, Regional Infrastructure and Services and is aimed at creating more regional jobs.
