Tuckometer Report
The AJC Autumn Carnival commences this Saturday with three Group 1 races set down for decision.
The David Jones Australian Derby will see the return clash of Randwick Guineas Shoot Out against Rosehill Guineas winner Zabrasive. They will be joined by Spring Champion Stakes winner Monaco Consul, New Zealand Derby placegetter Handsome Zulu to be ridden by Hong Kong rider Alex Lai and New Zealand Oaks winner Keep The Peace for which connections paid the Late Entry fee.
The Inglis Sires Produce Stakes is the feature event for the Two Year Olds and Victorian Fillies Willow Creek and Yosei who were both placed in the VRC Sires Produce Stakes will attempt to upstage their NSW rivals.
The T J Smith Stakes is the premier sprint race run by the club each season. This year the Les Bridge trained Hot Danish will attempt to add her name to the honour role but will face strong opposition from Mic Mac and VRC Newmarket Handicap winner Wanted.
The supporting races will see the final trial for horses trying to qualify for the Doncaster Mile in the Emirates Doncaster Prelude whilst the Three Year Old Fillies have their last chance to qualify for the AJC Oaks in the Asian Racing Federation Trophy.
The 33rd Asian Racing Conference will be held in Sydney in the week between the AJC Derby and Doncaster and delegates will be attending Derby day at Randwick and to recognise that fact, the Adrian Knox Stakes has been renamed for 2010 only. The Group 2 Chairman's Handicap also allows the winner automatic entry into the Schweppes Sydney Cup.

Shayne Montgomery's Horses to Follow

ALMA’S FURY After scoring with authority at Canberra, connections attempted the class rise of all class rises with him when they elected to start him in a recent black type event on Easter Saturday. Perhaps on the day only those same connections along with a few others were even aware he was at the races, he started at $101. Follow him and look for a gear change sooner rather than later. He can win again shortly.
MORE STRAWBERRIES has staked unquestionable claim to the title of “Best Maidener in the Country” after she earned a minor prize money cheque for the third time in as many race day appearances, the most recent of which was over Easter. This most talented two year old is yet to race on her home track here at headquarters but expect her to be very hard to beat when she is first produced around roomy Randwick.
PALACIO DE CRISTAL is trained here at headquarters and is progressing well in his attempt to add the time honoured Doncaster Mile to his win record which already boasts a Villiers Stakes win here over the same distance last summer. He has done little wrong in his races since his most recent spell but there is one proviso with him. His winning prospects diminish when the track condition is on the soft side.

Ticketing
You are encouraged to pre-arrange your Members’ area guest tickets to avoid the hassle on race day. Ticket application forms received within 7 days of the race meetings will need to be collected on the day at the General Office.
Click here to download your ticket application form.
If you are required to visit the General Office on race day to collect tickets please allow extra time as this office will be very busy. We thank you in advance for your patience.
Please also ensure that you have your correct card with you on the day. If you bring the wrong one you will be required to pay course entry which will not be refunded.
Sadly some Members continue to abuse their membership by lending their Member’s Card to others.
The AJC reminds Members that Club Rule 2.8 states that a “Member’s pass is non-transferable and valid for use only by the Member to whom the pass was issued. If a Member allows another person to use that Member’s pass, the Company may confiscate the Member’s pass”.
Similarly, Club Rule 2.9(d) states that "Guest passes are not for transfer other than by a Member to their guest and are not for re-sale".

Did you receive a traffic infringement parking adjacent to Warwick Farm on 6 March?
There was an arrangement agreed by Mr. David Tuxford of Liverpool City Council and Jonathan Seward of the AJC that patrons would be able to park in that area and not be liable to a fine. If you were unfortunate enough to receive an infringement notice please forward it to Ms Versna Kerstev (below) together with a note explaining the situation.
