Schweppes Sydney Cup
Schweppes Sydney Cup will wrap up the 2009 Tooheys New Autumn Carnival. This year, it will also coincide with ANZAC Day, so consequently, Royal Randwick will be offering any former or current members of the Armed Services complimentary entry onto the racecourse. Schweppes Sydney Cup will be a great day for families! The Rose Garden Lawn will be transformed into a fun-filled children's playground with lots of activities including:
- Meet the members of Hi-5 (2pm)
- Pony Rides and Animal Farm
- Jumping Castle
- Giant Slide
- Chair Swings
- Inflatable obstacle course
- Face Painting
- Magician
- Fairy Floss
- Laughing clowns - win prizes
- Children under the age of 18 have free entry!
The activities will be held from 12- 4pm! Don't miss out on all the fun!
The ANZAC Day activities will include:
- Free entry to current or returned service men or women and defence force personnel either in uniform or with relevant identification;
- Legacy to be collecting on course and to receive $1 from the sale of each race book;
- Display of historical Military Equipment on race course organised through the Army;
- 12.53pm – ANZAC Day Ceremony in Mounting Yard – Catafalque Party and Last Post;
- 1.05pm – Red Beret’s Parachute into Royal Randwick;
- 2.28pm – Carl Riseley to perform national anthem in mounting yard
- 3.40pm – Carl Riseley to perform call to post

Hi-5 are coming to Randwick!
Hi-5 is a show for today’s media-literate children between two to six years old. It’s a vibrant mix of stories, investigation, imagination and adventure. Hi-5 invites children to actively share the excitement of exploring the world through movement, lots of music and laughter.
The Hi-5 cast members are vibrant, highly talented young singers and dancers, whose warmth and energy enables them to engage their audience as they showcase the material and themes relevant to young children and families of today. Learning becomes a delight as children are genuinely encouraged to participate in the show’s interactive segments.
Come and see the new cast of Hi-5 at Randwick Racecourse from 2pm on Saturday 25 April!!
