What an amazing time of the year this is in terms of racing, dining and the sheer excitement of Autumn Carnival. Group racing, fine dining, fashion and fun with friends.
This email is to remind you of all of the wonderful lead-up events there are for you to enjoy.
We are starting with something for our Young Members, in the form of a pre-Carnival event at the Cargo Bar on Thursday 25 March. Due to an overwhelming response we are now fully booked.
Young members will enjoy delicious cocktail food, meet the AJC Young Members' representatives and have the opportunity to put forward suggestions regarding Young Membership at the Australian Jockey Club.

Autumn Carnival Preview - Wednesday 31 March
The Tattersalls Club invites you to this exciting and highly popular event.
Special guests will include, Alan Brown, Chairman, RacingNSW and Glen Munsie, TAB Sportsbet.
Cost: $110 per person
Arrival: 6.30pm for 7pm
Dinner: 3 courses with beverages
Dress: Business attire.

Early Morning Trackwork Breakfast - Tuesday 6 April
Get the good oil on the horses and their jockeys when you attend our Early Morning Trackwork Breakfast. The trainers will be taking their charges through their paces and leading trainers and jockeys will be interviewed.
A light complimentary breakfast will be served to you and your guests. All of this will make getting up early worthwhile, so we hope to see you at the infield Trainers Hut from 6.00 am on Tuesday 6 April all bright eyed and bushy tailed!

The barrier draw for the David Jones Australian Derby will take place at the Inglis Sales complex “Newmarket” Randwick at 10.15am prior to the Yearling sales commencing for that day. All Members and guests are welcome to attend.

Members' Cocktail Party - Wednesday 7 April
Launch into Carnival with this hugely popular annual event held in the Royal Randwick Pavilion from 6.30 pm
Free for all AJC Members, $50.00 for Members’ Guest card holders and $60.00 for additional guests.
You and your guests will dine on mouth watering canapés and a selection of premium beverages whilst enjoying the soulful rhythms of EON Beats.
All AJC Members receive an invitation to the Cocktail Party and numbers are strictly limited so be sure to RSVP to this auspicious event.

Carnival Tickets
If you are purchasing tickets for friends, to make life easier for you, you will be able to purchase a combined members’ area and entrance ticket for each day of the 2010 Autumn Carnival avoiding the need to purchase two separate tickets. These combined tickets are available for pre-purchase from the Membership Department.
Derby Day 10 April $125 Members' stand plus $35 course entry
Doncaster Day 17 April $125 Members' stand plus $35 course entry
Sydney Cup Day 24 April $100 Members' stand plus $25 course entry.
You may also purchase entrance tickets through Ticketek. Group bookings of 12 or more can purchase entrance tickets for Derby and Doncaster at $29.75 and $20 for Sydney Cup by phoning Ticketek Groups Department - 1300 364 001.
Children over the age of 4 and under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is no course entry for children, however there is $10 charged for the Members' stand.

Valet Parking
As an added service we will be offering you a Valet Parking Service for an easy and convenient way of arrival and departure from the Racecourse. Click here for link to map and other transport options.
To access Valet Parking, you will need to enter via Ascot Street. Turn left into Ascot St off Doncaster Ave and then follow Valet Parking signs to the vehicle drop off point.
The Valet Parking Fee is $30 (inc. GST) per vehicle payable by cash or EFTPOS upon drop off of your vehicle.

Fashions on the Field
David Jones Australian Derby Day is the first day of the Fashions on the Field contest, the categories of Classic Racewear Female and Male will be the hotly sought after crown, with thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be won.
Day two, Emirates Doncaster Day features another day in the fashion stakes with Best Dressed Couple and Best Millinery awards up for grabs in the Fashions on the Field competition, a day not to be missed.

Oops!!
We advise that there was an error in our quarterley newsletter with regard to the AFL, the Sydney Swans game on 10 April (Derby Day) is a night game, and they play the Richmond Tigers instead of West Coast Eagles. Similarly on 17 April, the mighty Swans play a day game against the West Coast Eagles instead of Richmond Tigers. Apologies.
