Warwick Farm looks forward to hosting two weekends of back to back exhilarating racedays during the Liverpool Festival of Racing in March. The Liverpool Festival of Racing is a fun family event-series held on the first two Saturday’s in March. The events have been designed with families and punters in mind, delivering live trackside entertainment and blockbuster racing over the two huge weekends.

The Festival kicks off with Chipping Norton Stakes Day on Saturday March 5 and is the first day of Group 1 racing during the Sydney autumn.  The popular Fashions on the Field competition returns again this year on Chipping Norton Stakes Day and there are some amazing prizes so make sure you sign up!

The excitement continues for the second week of the festival when Group 1 racing returns with the Turnpoint Guineas Day on Saturday March 12. The famous Punters’ Podium and Punters’ Club also return to Warwick Farm for Guineas Day where punting experts will offer their best tips from the live Podium. The racing festival at Warwick Farm is the perfect opportunity to enjoy amazing group line-ups, live entertainment, and a great day with family and friends - make sure you get to experience this premier event on the Liverpool Calendar.

Last December the Warwick Farm 100 Club Sponsors had an enjoyable night in the Committee Room at Warwick Farm. During the evening the 100 Club representatives were allocated races for 2011 by drawing their race out of a barrel. Sponsors then celebrated the oncoming year with fellow 100 Club Members.

The 100 Club races were assigned selected race days in 2011 starting with Australia Day which included CTS Rapid Set Cement Handicap, Hickman Racing Handicap, MC Conners Racing Handicap, Regupol Handicap, and the ZacPac Pty Ltd Australia Day Cup.

This was followed by a cooler day at the track on Sunday February 13 with the Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap, Commercial Interior Projects Handicap, Darby Racing Handicap, Manheim Handicap, Rydges Bankstown Handicap and Sportz Lighting Handicap.

Despite the intense heat, a patriotic crowd made their way to the track at Warwick Farm to celebrate Australia day in true Aussie style - a day at the races! People enjoyed the traditional snagger in a bun, kids were delighted with the activities and rides (especially the waterslide) and we even had some lifelike kangaroos bouncing around - a real crowd pleaser!

The thrilling Zac Pac Australia Day Cup was won by LANG (NZ) ridden by Taylor Lovelock-Wiggins and trained by Gwenda Markwell.

To mark the end of a fantastic Australia Day Gai Waterhouse demonstrated her Australian spirit by tackling the Outback Jacks Bar and Grill Restaurant resident Croc which made its way to the winning post!

The John Edmondson VC Memorial Club (Club Liverpool) has been established since the 19th July 1947. The Club was named after Corporal John Edmondson of the 2/17th Battalion who was awarded the first Victoria Cross during World War II.
