Pre Carnival Events

This year saw a capacity crowd at our Early Morning Trackwork session and unveiling of the TJ Smith sculpture and Members' Easter Cocktail Party

A number of members and their guests enjoyed luncheon and a preview of raceday wear at the David Jones Fashion Launch.

Click here to view photos of some of these events and other Carnival events.

Young Members' Event

350 young members and their guests were not deterred by the weather and had a wonderful afternoon in a beautifully themed marquee.

The Millinery award was won by Minette Collins

Mens best dressed won by Angus Beattie

and the Ladies best dressed was won by Lara Gray who went on to win the David Jones Classic Wear prize in the Fashions On the Field, worth over $10,000.  Congratulations Lara and to all of our young members who looked fantastic.

We thank our sponsors Cointreau, The Hat Studio, Van Heusen and Percy Marks.

PS  We are considering holding the next young members' event at Warragamba, that should guarantee the dam levels rising!
