Australia Day - every day

For our large and diverse corporate family, our calendar of inspiration networking and corporate hospitality events means we celebrate all year round.

May Breakfast

May Breakfast

We were delighted to have one of Australia's most talented freestyle swimmers, Elka Graham, as guest speaker at our May Networking Breakfast held at the Swissotel.

Over 130 guests enjoyed listening to Elka's insights as a dual Olympian and the unique Australian spirit that inspired her and her team mates on.

The Beijing Olympics will see Elka working as a commentator, while at the same time cheering on her fiance, Australian water-polo team captain Thomas Whalan (who also joined us at the breakfast).

Corporate Club

Corporate Club

Over 20 organisations have already joined the 2009 Corporate Club - and if you are still considering being a member - now is the time to join.

The first event on our Calendar is approaching faster than you think. The Corporate Golf Day, held at the spectacular and challenging NSW Golf Club, will be taking place in August and you have to be a member of the Corporate Club to be a starter.

This is just one of the many benefits of being a member of the Corporate Club. Find out more about how a membership can offer you the scope to meet your networking and business development needs.

Members can choose the level of benefits that best suits them. Become a member of our Corporate Club today.

Corporate Club Winners

Corporate Club Winners

Members who joined the Corporate Club before 31 May 2008 went into the draw to win prizes. We are delighted to announce the winners as follows:

Bayside Boardroom Winner. Where will your organisation be holding its next workshop, training day or important meeting?

Jardine Lloyd Thompson won't need to concern themselves with making that decision. As the winner of the Corporate Club Special Officer, they will be enjoying a full day's use of the Bayside Boardroom at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for 20 people).

Luna Park Children's Party. It would have to be the ultimate venue for a children's party. All the fun and excitement of the rides, plus party food and drinks.

Blackmores have won a Party Package for ten (10) children at Luna Park. This price includes Unlimited Ride Passes, carnival party food & drinks, a reserved party table in My Clubhouse plus the guest of honour will receive a Luna Park present from the gift shop. How good is that?

The Australia Day Council of NSW wishes to sincerely thank the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre and Luna Park for generously providing these fabulous prizes - exclusive to our corporate family.

Research findings

Australia Day events and sponsors continue to hit the mark

The Australia Day Council of NSW (ADCNSW) is proud of its reputation for delivering inspirational events and programs throughout the year. To ensure these activities continue remain relevant and enjoyable, we regularly undertake various market research to monitor public attitudes, values and assumptions about our events and sponsors.

This year, over 700 NSW event attendees participated in face to face interviews conducted at organised Australia Day events held in the CBD, Parramatta and Wollongong regions.

In addition, we engaged the expertise of Pure Profile to conduct a pre and post Australia Day online survey interviewing 1000 NSW respondents, to evaluate their awareness of, and interest in, our celebrations.

A summary of key findings were:

• 50% of respondents have attended organised Australia Day events run by ADCNSW or by their local councils more than 5 times

• Australia Day sponsors are favourably perceived and show good corporate citizenship

• 95% of respondents said their expectations of Australia Day events run in the CBD or local council were met

• 95% of respondents stated the news coverage they heard on Australia Day was positive

• Social impacts of Australia Day on individuals and community were positive with the top three impacts being pride, identity and entertainment

• 59% of respondents said they are planning to attend an organised Australia Day events in 2009 run by the ADCNSW or by their local council

Over 2 milllion people across New South Wales participate each year in Australia Day events. As one of the most important, emotive and recognisable Australian brands in the state, we invite organisations to consider an association with the Australia Day of NSW through either sponsorship or by joining our Corporate Club.
