MEMBERS MONEYMAKERS – by Shayne Montgomery

GAMBLE ME Now trained by Ms Gai Waterhouse, this 4YO mare had not been able to win in five previous attempts first up but after being transferred into the Tulloch Lodge stable near the middle of last year she raced three times, was spelled again before scoring with authority first up recently. This mare can only be expected to further progress.

MARQUARDT She is in the Jason Coyle stable and after her luckless effort in Magic Night Stakes it is possible that this filly might clash with New Day Rising in the near future. If this eventuates, it will be a race well worth travelling from afar to witness. From a punting perspective, it might be wise to support both youngsters if the odds allow.

METAL BENDER (pictured above) His AJC Derby campaign looks to be going seamlessly after his slender but nonetheless very impressive recent Randwick and Rosehill Guineas victories. The step up to 2400m back at headquarters looks nothing but a natural step for him.

NEW DAY RISING This 2YO trained by Ms Gai Waterhouse has stamped himself as a horse to follow throughout the Autumn. He was unlucky to lose the recently conducted Darley Stakes over 1200m at only his second start in a race and he can improve as his distances lengthen.
 

Scone Cup Members Tour 14-15 May

We are currently accepting registrations of interest for the annual AJC Members Tour to Scone Cup. This year’s tour will include a visit to Patinack Farm, Arrowfield Stud and of course lunch in the marquee at Scone Racecourse for the running of the Scone Cup. Costings are close to being finalized but it cost will be approximately $450 – $550 pp.

AJC Young Members On Top of the Rise - 25 April 2009

Tickets are still available for the Top of the Rise AJC Young Members event, in the Top of the Rise precinct on the Queens Lawn on Schweppes Sydney Cup Day.

Alongside the glamorous Emirates and News Limited marquees Young Members will spend the day with a glorious view of the home straight, enjoying all day catering, a fabulous bar, live entertainment including DJ Rob Somatic and a special guest performance by Australian Idol finalist Carl Riseley plus private tote and bookie facilities. After party buses will also be available for those that want to continue into the evening at The Loft @ King Street Wharf.

There is only a limited amount of tickets available so get a group of friends together for a great day at the track.

Members Cocktail Party - Tonight

A reminder to all Members who have registered and paid for guests to attend the Members Cocktail Party this evening the event will commence at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.
Registration was essential for this event and Members and Guests attendance will be marked off at the door.

AJC Members are entitled to purchase up to four (4) tickets for their guests to each Saturday of the Carnival. On Easter Monday the guest ticket limit will be eight (8) tickets.
