Australia Day 2010

Planning for events and programs for Australia Day 2010 is already underway.

Here's a snapshot of things that you can be part of or look out for as the big day gets closer. Make sure you visit the Australia Day website to find out what's on in your local area.

New for 2010

New for 2010

We have joined forces with Hereford Prime and Herefords Australia Ltd and will be firing up the BBQ again this year to cook up the best beef available at the Herefords Great Aussie BBQ. Steak sandwiches, beef burgers and sausage sanga’s have never tasted this good.

If you are really looking to do something different this Australia Day then make sure you visit the BBQ precinct as there will be no shortage of things to do.

There will be live entertainment and a rare opportunity to “Meet the Grazier” who will introduce you to a full size Hereford bull.

Celebrate Australia is a new signature event in the Australia Day 2010 program being held in the Domain from 5 – 8pm. Celebrate what it means to be Australian with a free musical extravaganza for the whole family featurning Yvonne Kenny, Jon English, William McInnes, Gavin Lockley and the Rum Corps choir and orchestra.

Aussie Vault Launched

Aussie Vault Launched

An exciting new online social history hub dedicated to all things Australian, www.AUSSIEVAULT.com.au has been launched. This new, interactive website will act as a ‘vault’ of Australian social history. It will capture conversations and thoughts on our national identity, culture, issues, current events and personalities.

AUSSIEVAULT means people can interact with all those things that drive our Australian values for years to come. Australians from all walks of life, can contribute their thoughts to topics such as, should Australia be more proactive about our environmental sustainability? Or future topics as far ranging as the greatest sporting moment of all time to the most significant exploration expedition in Australia’s history. And the best part, it's on show for all Australians all year round!

Living Australian - Photographic Competition

Living Australian - Photographic Competition
