ORCA from Guy Walter stable looked most unlucky to lose the Frank Packer Plate over 2000m at Royal Randwick 18/04/09 when he was out to post back to back wins in the space of a week. Only traffic problems on the home turn brought him undone and he can atone soon.

MERENSKY REEF who certainly had his chance to win the abovementioned Frank Packer Plate at Royal Randwick can still pay to follow in the time ahead. He entered the race as clearly the least experienced candidate and his performance to finish as close to the winner as he did was very creditable. Expect his trainer Ms Gai Waterhouse to expertly place him in the time ahead.

WHOBEGOTYOU finished third in the Doncaster Mile last Saturday at Royal Randwick and congratulations are extended to all concerned with the winner Vision And Power but Whobegotyou did look most unlucky to lose after he finished on the heels of the winner without fully finding room to move at any stage in the straight. Look for Whobegotyou when he is next produced as he will have stored energy to spend on the day.

NOTHIN’ LEICA CAT is yet to win a race anywhere after five appearances but that didn’t stop her from running a very creditable race in the AJC Oaks last Saturday at Royal Randwick. Her closing sectional times were the second quickest of the Group One event for 3YO Fillies with only the winner, Daffodil finishing her race off faster. Nothin’ Leica Cat can become a staying prospect of the future as her career unfolds.
