FIVE DIRECTORS RE-ELECTED AT AGM |
|
The first Annual General Meeting of Members of the Australian Jockey Club Limited was held on Friday 27 November at Royal Randwick Racecourse.
Five current Board members were required to retire and offer themselves for re-election.
As a result of a ballot, AJC Chairman Ron Finemore, AO, declared that Richard Kelly, Julia Ritchie, John Ingham, Sharon Skeggs and Tom Ford were re-elected to the Board by a compelling majority.
“I would like to thank the Members for their support as their vote represents a strong endorsement of the Board and the progress that it has achieved in challenging circumstances," Mr Finemore said.
"The stability provided by Members will enable the Board to continue to build on the work of past boards and concentrate on securing a bright future for the AJC.
"We know there is still plenty of work to do but we have some exciting plans for Royal Randwick and Warwick Farm which will benefit all AJC Members and patrons.
"I urge all Members to continue to support our great Club and attend the races at every opportunity."
