Racing News

The countdown is over and Day One of the AJC Spring Carnival arrives this Saturday at Royal Randwick with the running of the Weight For Age Arrowfield Stud George Main Stakes. Some of the starters will be having their final lead up to next week’s Arrowfield Stud Epsom Handicap including Mentality, Triple Honour, and Rock Kingdom. Other leading contenders for the Arrowfield Stud George Main Stakes are Racing to Win, Black Piranha and Onemorenomore.

Other feature races on Saturday’s programme include the Group 2 Chandon Stan Fox Stakes for Three Year Olds, the Group 3 Bill Ritchie Handicap where many of the runners will be trying to force their way into the Arrowfield Stud Epsom Handicap, and the Group 3 Mc Grath Colin Stephen Quality.

The carnival continues on Arrowfield Stud Super Saturday 3 October, with not only the running of four Group 1 events, but also the NSW Breeders Plate and Keeneland Gimcrack Stakes for the 2YOld colts & geldings and fillies respectively.

New race day stalls and busway make their debut

We are pleased to announce that as part of the Stage one masterplan that the new race day stalls and busway will be operational from George Main stakes day. However the existing turnstiles and entries will still be in effect. Obviously this is a work in progress and further beautification will be undertaken in the coming months – all enhancing your race day experiences for the future.
