ERA Membership Forum - 12 February 2010

The 3rd ERA Membership Forum will be held at the Novotel Melbourne on Collins on Friday, 12 February 2010.

We are pleased to be able to hold the Forum in Melbourne in 2010. If you are attending the VALA 2010 Conference (9-11 February 2010) please consider staying on for the ERA Membership Forum.

The ERA forum is held annually and provides the opportunity for library representatives to come together to discuss ERA policy direction and strategic issues.  It also provides an opportunity to foster relations with vendors and to facilitate cross-sectoral networking. 

An outline of the agenda for the day is now available.

This year we are delighted to have Ms Elisabeth Jackson (Executive Officer, Public Libraries Victoria Network Inc (Gulliver)) and Dr Warwick Cathro (Assistant Director-General, Resource Sharing & Innovation, NLA) as speakers.

There will also be a vendor discussion panel with representatives from: Encyclopaedia Britannica Australia; Forward Learning Pty Ltd (World Book); Good Reading Magazine; Gale: Cengage Learning; Macquarie Dictionary Publisher; ProQuest; RMIT Publishing; and Warner Books.

Online registration is now open. Attendance is free but places are limited: registrations close 22 January 2010.  

2010 Product Poll

The 2010 Product Poll will open shortly after the ERA Membership Forum on 22 February 2010 and will close on 19 March 2010.

Take a look at the products offered through ERA and think about which resources you might be interested in. 

Free product trials are also available to any of the products by contacting the participating vendor.

It's never too late to take up an ERA subscription! 

Libraries can opt-in at any time, before or after the Product Poll, for either financial or calendar year subscriptions with subscriptions pro-rated accordingly.
