Day One of the Royal Randwick Autumn Carnival 2010 kicks off this Saturday with David Jones Australian Derby Day.

The celebrity studded race day of the Autumn Carnival calendar, David Jones Australian Derby Day is the must-attend racing event for sophisticated, trackside fun.

A glamorous day of traditional black and white fashion, it will host the first day of Fashions on the Field at Royal Randwick with the Classic Racewear Female and Classic Racewear Male categories to be the hotly contested crowns, so frock up and get noticed.

A top day of racing it will also include the Gr 1 Darley TJ Smith Stakes (1200m), the Inglis Sires Produce Stakes (1400m) along with the Gr 2 Sydney Morning Herald Chairman’s Handicap (2600m), Sapphire Stakes (1200m) and the Gr 3 Jim Beam Carbine Club Stakes (2000m) also make up the race card on the day.

With over $2,725,000 in prize money up for grabs the 2010 Royal Randwick Autumn Carnival is sure to start with a bang!
