The Tuckometer Report

Korea Racing Authority

The Club will host a delegation from the Korea Racing Authority at Royal Randwick this Saturday who will be in attendance for the 12th Korea Racing Authority Cup. Representing the KRA will be Mr Bae,Gun-Suk (Executive Director Racing Division), Mr Hwang, Sang-Soo (Senior Manager-Racing Protective Team) & Mr Tak, Sung-Hyun (Manager-Racing Strategy Team). We hope they enjoy their visit to Randwick.

HORSES TO FOLLOW:

DREAM ‘N’ BELIEVE is an unraced three year old filly from the Tulloch Lodge stable who looks set to post a win shortly for the first Lady of Racing, Gai Waterhouse. A most impressive recent barrier trial win here at Royal Randwick had “back me soon” stamped all over it and her previous, debut barrier trial performance was almost as good.

STAR RIPPER won with ridiculous ease recently at a provincial meeting before master trainer Bart Cummings sent him to Warwick Farm last Tuesday when he again looked liked a stayer of the future as he raced away from his opposition late with strength in his stride. Look for him when next produced, hopefully here at Royal Randwick on Saturday week, if he does appear, he might help to make your day a profitable one here at Headquarters.

You are also reminded to avail yourselves of the Latest Look selection sheet service made available only oncourse at all Saturday fixtures, courtesy of the AJC.

New Turnstiles

The AJC has installed new turnstiles at Members'  and general admission pedestrian entry points to Royal Randwick. These will improve security and will be operational on Saturday 28 November.

In view of this it is more important than ever that you bring the correct current membership card. If you do not bring your current card you will be asked to pay course entry and this will not be refunded.

Whilst it does not happen very often there are some members who lend their Membership cards to friends and family to use. Please do not do this. Guest cards are transferable, Member cards are not. Your cooperation in this regard will be appreciated.

Goulburn - AJC Members Make Their Mark

Goulburn - AJC Members Make Their Mark

30 plus intrepid travellers headed off to Goulburn in the scorching heat on Friday.

We experienced the four seasons which Goulburn so often has in a day, however, the racing was great, as was the lunch and the company.

Two of our ladies, Robyn Ketchell and Claire Cather were chosen to take part in Fashions on the Field with Robyn taking out the best hat.  The AJC has done well with the Fashions over the years, Sally Mendel won the best dressed at Newcastle a few years back. Well done girls.

Despite the appalling conditions we all had a great time.  Our next trip will be to Scone in May, so mark that in your diaries and we hope to see you then.

Dress Regulations

Ladies.  Over the past few race meetings it has been our unpleasant duty to refuse admittance to young ladies wearing shorts.   Whilst they may look nice, shorts of any description, dress or otherwise ARE NOT permitted in the Members' Area, nor is denim.

Gentlemen.  Coats are off during the period of daylight saving, unless you are attending an official function.
Again, whilst the fashion is for some shirts to be worn out, if you are accessing the Members' area, you must wear smart trousers, a collared shirt (tucked in) tie and dress shoes.  No jeans or denim.

Please advise any guests you may be bringing of the above, because there are no exceptions.
