An exciting couple of months coming up with great racing and our Tooheys New Royal Randwick Carnival to look forward to.  There will also be an Early Morning Trackwork Session and Cocktail party, invitations to which will be posted to you early April.  Bookings will open for these events in April.

As you are aware there have been changes to the race dates for the rest of this season. Click here to see all race dates until end of June.

Come along on Easter Saturday and be rewarded with chocolates.  For details see the cover sheet of the Carnival Magazine which will be in your letter boxes within the next few days.

There will also be an Easter Egg hunt for the children, note children!!!

Please also note that the administation office WILL NOT be open for ticket sales on Good Friday.

Gold Coast Turf Club 22, 24 & 29 March 2008. If you wish to attend any of the above race meetings please contact the Membership Department of the AJC on 9663 8419 and an application form will be forwarded to you.


Birthday Cards


Birthday cards may be redeemed for tickets on 22, 24 and 29 March but not during Carnival, which is 26 and 30 April and 3 May.

Thrifty Royal Randwick Guineas Day - 29 March 2008

To help princesses prepare for carnival race-wear, The Hat Studio will host a Hats & High Tea, presenting the latest styles in hat and fascinator fashions.

Wear your best hat to receive a complimentary cupcake at the Hats & High Tea Stand on the Rose Garden Lawn.   In addition the first 300 ladies who come to the stand will be served a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

 


Carbine Club Luncheon


The Carbine Club of NSW salutes the racing industry by having a lunch on the Friday prior to the running of the Golden Slipper.

This year’s event will be at the Pavilion at Royal Randwick on Friday 18 April commencing 12 noon followed by the Call of the Card for the Slipper.

If you would like to attend please contact Barbara on 9663 8420 and she will arrange with a member of the Carbine Club to make an invitation to you.

Join us for this increasingly popular trip to the Hunter, taking in racing and stud visits.

· Luxury coach transport

· Luncheon at Woodlands Stud.

· Overnight at the Pokolbin Village Resort, with dinner (beverages not included), bed and breakfast.

· Arrowfield Stud

· Scone Races – course entry, race book and luncheon, (beverages included) in the Marquee.

Enjoy lunch at the Woodlands Stud Homestead with John and Frances Ingham, followed by a stallion parade and tour of this wonderful property. Our overnight accommodation will be at the 4 Star Pokolbin Village Resort , where we will have dinner at the award winning Vittorios Restaurant.

Friday will see us at Arrowfield Stud to look at their wonderful stallions before heading down the road to the Scone Races where we will enjoy lunch in the Members' marquee.

Price is yet to be confirmed but will be in the vicinity of $480 single and $830 two sharing, includes everything except alcohol on Thursday evening. click here to view the accommodation.

Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival - Racing Fraternity Mass - Sunday 13 April


Everyone is welcome to attend the Annual Racing Fraternity Mass which will be held on Sunday 13 April at 11 am, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 4 Roma Avenue Kensington.

The Racing Mass is attended by people of all denominations and by people who are non churched, representing all sections of the racing industry and is offered for the well-being of the racing industry as a whole.

Light refreshments will be served after the Mass.
