Members Information Briefing - Reserve the Date 3 October
As you are aware, the unincorporated Australian Jockey Club has now become a company limited by guarantee, the Australian Jockey Club Limited.
In compliance with the Corporations Act, the first Annual General Meeting of the Australian Jockey Club Limited will be held in late October 2009, and you will receive the usual notification of that meeting. As the Australian Jockey Club no longer has any assets, business or members, it is not required to hold the formal Annual General Meeting that would otherwise have been held in October this year. Nevertheless we feel that, in the interests of accountability and transparency, we wish to give members an opportunity to hear from the Board and CEO on the progress over the year.
This information session will be held on Friday 3 October commencing at 2pm in the Panorama Room, 3rd Floor Paddock Grandstand at Royal Randwick followed by drinks and canapés. The meeting has been scheduled for the Friday preceding Arrowfield Stud Super Saturday, incorporating four feature Group 1 races, to tie in with those traveling to Sydney for the long weekend.
