The Tuckometer Report
Horses to follow
PALACIO DE CRISTAL is a four year old mare trained here at headquarters by Grahame Begg. A barrier trial, two race starts and another trial enabled her to quickly turn defeat into victory on the Kensington track 11/12 when third up from a spell despite being totally unsuited in transit. Look for her again soon.
AL SAHRA is another Grahame Begg trained galloper. She was one of two fillies who had no luck at all in a race run last Saturday at Rosehill. After enjoying a “box seat” passage to the home turn, she failed to find room to move until it was far too late at only her third career start. She can in soon against her own age.
WE BETCHA from the Chris Waller stable was the other luckless runner referred to in the above paragraph concerning Al Sahra. We Betcha paid the ultimate price for being slow out of the gates. After conceding a start as the field settled down, she found room to move late enough to cost her a win. She can atone shortly.
Good luck!

Vale Jack Denham
We give our sympathies to Mrs Denham and her family with the passing of Jack. Jack trained over 3000 horses in his wonderful career, horses such as Marscay and Might and Power to name but two.
Racing will be the poorer with his passing.

Ties
Do you have any unwanted ties? If you are given ties for Christmas which you don't like, or maybe you like them so much you need to clear out some old ones, then we will be happy to take them off your hands.
We use ties for owners or Members' Guests who come to the races without one. We take a small deposit which is returned when the tie is.
Some people do not return the ties so the money is accumulated over the year and then given to St Vinnies for their Christmas Day for the homeless. (This year we are providing the Christmas cakes for morning and afternoon tea).
So, if you have any ties you do not want please bring them along to the General Office on racedays or drop them into the Membership Department on Alison Road during the week.
The homeless thank you.
